Work Experience

Brain Tool Lab
Undergraduate Researcher
May 2024 – Present
At the Brain Tool Lab, I research and design novel continuum robots for minimally invasive surgical applications as well as other projects related to the field. I’ve optimized and miniaturized sensing mechanisms to support closed-loop control, significantly improving cost-efficiency and manufacturability. Additionally, my work has included presenting at conferences such as the 2025 International Symposium on Medical Robotics (ISMR) and showcasing our research to younger students.

Makerspace Technician / LabRAT
January 2024 – Present
At the makerspaces, I prototyped a shredder to compact unwanted 3D prints and reduce overflow from inefficient waste disposal. I drafted over 50% of the instructional tutorials to support student learning, and helped reorganize the floor layout to improve safety by centralizing access to personal protective equipment. I also maintain key fabrication equipment including 3D printers, laser cutters, and CNC mills to ensure high uptime.

Roblox
Software Engineering Intern
May 2025 – August 2025
At Roblox, I developed a new real-time profile insight that indicates whether a viewer has recently interacted with the profile owner. To enhance this, I designed and implemented a new system to display the most frequently played game between the users. This was done through data pipelines, backend, and frontend development. I rigorously tested the end-to-end flow to ensure it performed universally and reliably across all Roblox platforms with profiles, including desktop, mobile, and VR. I also initiated an A/B experiment to determine the effectiveness of this system.

Calculus Lab & Help Room Teaching Assistant
January 2024 – May 2024
As a teaching assistant, I facilitated a collaborative lab environment and review sessions, helping students reinforce core concepts and prepare for assessments. In addition to grading and other instructional duties, I worked with students one-on-one to clarify misunderstandings and provide feedback.

Cenntro Inc
Engineering Intern
June 2023 – August 2023
During my internship, I supported a range of hardware and software initiatives across the company. I contributed to an autonomous guided beverage vehicle project by testing system functionality and authoring user-facing documentation. I also assisted engineers with on-site diagnostics, including replacing vehicle batteries and cameras, troubleshooting charging issues, and performing firmware updates. On the software side, I performed software verification on the company’s existing database operations as well as researched SeaTable for future migration.
